Your Labour Councillors on Shepshed Town Council

Cllr Stephen Londesborough

I am a retired civil servant with a background in personnel work, health & safety and in managing a very wide range of work in various government departments. I was a voluntary youth worker for many years. For some years, I was a voluntary medical orderly in a hospital.
Since retiring, I have been & still am a primary school governor and a committee member of Churches Together in Shepshed.

Cllr Kevin Parker

Kevin Parker is also Shepshed's County Councillor and a member of the County Fire Authority. "I work for an environmental services organisation and previously I've worked in local government - so I know the ropes, so to speak. I have clear ideas so I don't let anybody bluff me into accepting things for Shepshed that aren't right. That's why I started the campaign to stop the landfill and waste processing plant at Shepshed. In the next few months the County Council will be putting forward a plan for an incinerator somewhere in Leicestershire ... and guess where their first choice will be. Shepshed has great communications and lies on the edge of great countryside. What a sad reflection on those who run the County Council that all they think we are fit for is their waste!"
